So my little gardener helper loves to do everything right now. Here we were planting our sweet peas in the planter box. and id push them in the dirt with a "boop" sound and deklen would make the same sound it was cute.
So the yard before i started all my work.


And after last night. I installed the brick border.I am going to re sod the backyard and sod ovcr the flower bed on the left as there is too much for me to take care of, and i think more area for deklen and i to play would be more beneficial.

For those easily totally grossed out - LOOK AWAY! I have been cooped up this beautiful weekend with a poor sick baby boy. I have had four days straight of throwing up, gagging, Diapers that would make the toughest man's eyes water, and a sick dog that had to go to the emergency vet. Yes i have had it all happen to me this weekend.

So when deklen went to sleep tonight around 7, i had to get into the dirt and my plants. I watered my plants (out of my full rain barrel) i love my rain barrel, one little drizzle and the barrel is full. Then i decided well hey why not water the lawn and pick the worms that are destroying my yard and flowerbeds.

ok,ok, i know all of you are thinking that they are sooooo good, blah,blah,blah, but TOO many aren't good and they cause a lot of damage. You know that they make those little mounds in the dirt which is good fertilizer? well keep piling that up every day and my yard is looking like a mine field. It looks like i have moles in my lawn, never mind deklen running and twisting his ankle. Yes its getting that bad. So it is my mission to diminish the population, i know i will never be able to eradicate them, and some are totally good with me, but if i can lessen the population, it will help.

The below came from five minutes of picking them and i got 37. Some get scared back into the ground so i am going back out in five minutes to get some more.

Help me figure out what these are! Everyone thought that all these small plants that came up from bulbs in my yard were crocuses. These DO NOT look like crocus flowers coming up they look like mini hyacinth heads.
Knowing my luck they are probably some poisonous fern thing.As you can see they cover the back corner OK, i planted some bulbs i KNOW for sure what they are - this is a tulip

This should be a hyacinth, so what the others are i have noooooooo idea.

So whenever we go outside deklen says choo choo, and it took me a minute to figure out that it means he wants to go to the park to the train. DUH. Look at the look on his little face. Full of Mischief. AND yeah the suckie is there for the day. He has two mottom molars poking thru and hes kinda tender. it will get us throught the next few days and then it will magically dissappear.

And all ready to go from the park on our walk. All set with food and a blanket to keep the chill off. I later put down the plastic as the wind was blowing right in our face. Thus why i got it and i thoroughly love it already.

Yeah, i took the plunge finally. I didn't buy new as the used were MORE than enough. So i picked up this one today and i cannot keep deklen out of it. He had to sit in it when i took it out of the car and "drove" it up to the house. I know where my motivation to get outside will be now. We will have so much fun and this is sooooooo nice to push.

Happy Easter Deklen! As you can see the easter bunny brought deklen some bunny chalk for the sidewalk and some chocolate. He loves the little dog and calles her Zoe.

We had poached eggs and toast for breakfast.

And all dressed up for easter sunday.

He really got into finding the eggs the easter bunny had hidden for him.




I LOVE having an older yard, the birds swooped in to our tree in the yard and realized we were there then swooped away, but its so nice to hear them chirping away.

Funny, even the dogs had to get in on the action. Later oskar was doing this as well.
